千葉大学は世界中の多くの大学と協定を結び、交流しています。大学間交流協定を結んでいる大学は71校（平成22年6月30日現在）、部局間交流協定を結んでいる大学は120校（平成22年5月31日）あります
看護学研究科においても海外の大学との教育・研究交流を進めています。最近では、平成15～19年度の5年間、千葉大学21世紀COEプログラム「日本文化型看護学の創出・国際発信拠点－実践知に基づく看護学の確立と展開－」において、様々な国の研究者と交流、共同研究を行ってきました。

学生の留学・研修
千葉大学には、海外派遣留学プログラムがあります。これらの制度を利用し、毎年1～2名の看護学部生が、アメリカや中国、ドイツなどで留学生活を送っています。
看護学部では、また、大学間協定を結んでいるアラバマ大学（タスカルーサ）との間で、平成9年から単位互換による授業「異文化看護演習」を提供しています。毎年2月下旬から3月上旬の13日間、千葉大学からの受講生がアラバマ大学のタスカルーサ本校キャプストン看護学部に滞在し、異なる文化背景をもつ人々を対象とした看護の理論と方法論、それぞれの文化に固有の価値観や生活様式、文化的に特有な病気への反応やケアなどについて学習します。また、夏にはアラバマ大学の学生が日本で異文化看護を学びます。
諸外国からの留学生の受け入れ
平成23年度10月現在、看護学部では、中国、フィジーからの留学生が、日本人学生とともに学生生活を送り、看護を学んでいます。大学院生・研究生には、モンゴル、中国、ベトナムからの留学生もいます。友人としての付き合いを通して、日本人学生にとっても、異文化を理解し、国際感覚を育む機会となっています。
千葉大学看護学部での留学生活
看護学部3年次生
千葉大学看護学部に入学して、もう三年目です。春は基礎実習を終え、7月に訪問看護実習に行きました。三年生の授業ではグループワークや発表が多く、日々忙しい学習生活を送っています。
これまでのことを振り返って見ると、千葉大学看護学部で過ごした日々は本当にあっという間で、充実していました。
一年生の時は、普遍教育の授業が多く、さまざまな知識が学べます。その中で、日本事情という授業は日本人学生と留学生を対象にする授業であり、日本の文化を詳しく知り、日本人学生や他の国の留学生と意見交換できる授業でもあります。また、夏休みに、異文化研修で、アラバマ大学に二週間ほど行きました。違う文化に触れて、私にとって、貴重な体験でした。
二年生になると、専門の授業が多くなり、看護技術の完成度もだんだん高いものが要求されるようになります。テストで合格点に届かなかったり、技術チェックになかなかパスできなかったり、挫けそうになったことが何度もありました。でも、そんな時、先生方が焦らずに、丁寧に教えてくれました。全てを教えてくれるのではなく、「どうしてそうなのか」、「どうすればうまく行くのか」を一つ一つ考えさせられ、自分で解決方法を見つけることができました。留学生である私にとって、言語というのは大きな壁ですが、先生方が親切で、丁寧に教えてくれたおかげで、乗り越えることができたと思います。
また、千葉大学には、IPEという専門職連携の授業があり、それは千葉大学独自のカリキュラムであります。看護学部の学生だけではなく、医学部、薬学部の学生と交流できる授業でもあります。将来、いろいろな職種と連携するために、重要な授業だと思います。
千葉大学での学習生活はあと1年半残っています。楽しく過ごしたいと思います。

台湾国立成功大学医学院看護学学生を対象とした「多文化看護学（泛文化護理）」学習プログラム
-参加者の学び- （平成25年12月3日更新）
台湾国立成功大学医学院看護学修士課程学生6名と同学部3年生2名の計8名の学生が千葉大学看護学部に来学し、平成25年6月24日から7月19日の25日間にわたり、多文化看護および関連領域の学習を行いました。これは、台湾国立成功大学医学院看護学系の履修科目「多文化看護学（泛文化護理）」の一環であり、1か月程度の海外の大学・医療施設における学習とされています。
千葉大学看護学部では、本学および大学院看護学研究科の特色を活かしたプログラムを提供しました。中でも、本研究科が平成26年より開設する「災害看護グローバルリーダー養成プログラム」の紹介、ならびに福島県での常磐病院の見学が深く印象に残ったようです。
Learning experience in disaster nursing
Disaster nursing is currently given importance worldwide. Japan has experienced varied and unique calamities, including earthquakes, tsunamis, volcano eruptions, and even a nuclear disaster. Through the lectures given by 正木先生 and 進藤先生, we were impressed by the methods for accurate data collection and scientific analysis, as well as the significance of precise disaster prediction. We understood how to use policies and strategies to manage consequences caused by disasters. To reach a consensus, all experts from various disciplines should communicate with one another more frequently. A nursing professional, as a coordinator, is expected to lead the conversation and to prepare for coping strategies applicable to all possible scenarios. We should learn from failures, and then reconstruct and strive for recovery in a humble manner. As the saying goes, hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
平成24年度留学生交流支援制度プログラムへの参加
平成24年度は、日本学生支援機構の「留学生交流支援制度（ショートスティ、ショートビジット」に参加しました。7月31日から8月9日の期間に、ガジャマダ大学から2名、ソウル大学から4名、北京大学から2名の学生が看護学部に滞在し、日本の病院や施設などを訪問し、異文化看護を学び、体験しました。また、本学の看護学部からは4名の学生がソウル大学に8日間訪問しました。

The first day I arrived in Japan, I feared talking with people and felt a sense of embarrassment when I did not know what topic was being discussed. Over the next few days, however, smiling faces and comforting eyes helped me to forget that I was in an unfamiliar environment, and I quickly joined in.

First, this program was very instrumental in allowing us to experience not only Japanese culture but also Indonesian and Chinese cultures through interaction with international members. We were very impressed with the kindness displayed by the Japanese people. Many members of the nursing college of Chiba University volunteered to work with us, and even though it posed a hardship for them to accompany us due to the hot weather, they were exceptionally kind and polite.

This is my first time traveling abroad. I have always dreamed of visiting Japan, and that dream has finally come true. When I arrived at Narita Airport, I was very excited. As I took the train from Narita to Chiba, I experienced some of the advanced technology from home, including the train, many different types of vending machines, and, of course, Suica. Japan appears to be very orderly and clean, which is different from my own country.

This program was my first experience of going overseas, so at the start I was filled with nervousness and anxiety. However, that changed to hope and enjoyment as the other program participants and I took our Korean language classes and studied the differences between the Japanese and Korean healthcare systems and other topics.

Prior to entering university, I wanted to participate in the Transcultural Nursing Program at the University of Alabama. Once I was set to participate in the program, I was more concerned about the language barrier and living in a foreign country for two weeks than looking forward to it. During my participation, however, I found everyday fun and interesting, so the two weeks flew by quickly.
